Avocado and yogurt are both wholesome ingredients that you probably love to eat. But did you know that slathering them onto your skin can have some marvelous benefits for the way you look too? It’s true! This homemade avocado and yogurt face mask will help revitalize dull and dehydrated skin by plumping it up with moisture deep down naturally.
What’s So Good About Avocado for Your Skin?
That texture that you love about avocado – rich, silky and buttery – is a dream come true for your face. Plus it contains a ton of antioxidants that are absorbed when applied topically to your skin. Avocados are also rich with fatty acids and vitamins that help you look your most ravishing and youthful.
And What About Yogurt and Your Skin?
Maybe you don’t want to eat full-fat yogurt, but applying it to your face is a different story. It is a vital source for lactic acid, B vitamins, zinc, and calcium. Lactic acid like the kind found in yogurt is known as a form of alpha hydroxyl acid, a natural exfoliant that you’ll find in many skincare products. It can whiten, lighten, and smooth skin to absolute pure perfection and do it naturally.
So, when you apply both avocado and yogurt onto your skin by making an avocado and yogurt face mask, you’re going to be turning back the hands of time to reveal that fresh baby-faced glow of your youth while encouraging your skin to produce collagen on the regular. And you’ll be getting clearer and more hydrated skin out of the whole deal too!

Tips for Using Your Avocado and Yogurt Face Mask
This recipe is best for using immediately so we recommend not making more than you need and making it fresh each time you want to use this avocado and yogurt face mask. We also have a few other tips for you.
– Choose your ingredients wisely
Your avocado should be ripe. And in the chance you buy up a bunch of avocados one day and they suddenly become over ripe, don’t toss them out! Save them to make this mask. Also, remember that you need plain, full-fat, unsweetened and unflavored yogurt for this mask. That is why we recommend Greek yogurt. It works beautifully.
– Get your hair ready
This mask can really stick to your hair. It will wash out with ease, but if you’re not hopping in the shower to wash your hair after you use the avocado and yogurt face mask, you’ll want to use one of those soft headbands to keep those locks locked in place.
– Steam your pores
Want to be sure you look amazingly beautiful? Bowl up a pot of water, then carefully hold your head over it and drape a towel over your head to trap the steam. Do this for about 5 minutes and your pores will be completely cleared out so the avocado and yogurt face mask can work its magic.
– Apply it right
Your face should be clean and dry before applying the avocado and yogurt mask. Then you can use a face brush or your clean fingers and gently apply it to your face, being careful to avoid the eyes and mouth. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes, then rinse it off with tepid water. Feel free to moisturize after you pat your face dry, then feel free to show off your beautiful naturally vivacious face to the world!
